NOTE: Several people enquired about details of our music teacher. We learnt classical music under Sri. Prakhya Anjaneya Sastry gaaru for 4 years. However, owing to our academic obligations and other reasons we haven't had the opportunity to practice with Sri. Sastry gaaru for a while now.

i saw all of your(deepika) videos and was very much impressed by the venuvai vachanu song. that song was sung by u with ultimate retention. i hear that song daily. Expect more songs from u ....and probably see that i can hold a concert with u again at TANA next year. The same is with shilpa too she has a beautiful voice too. but not so many in youtube of her. keep more videos posted and if you can upload the interviews you both gave in various newspapers in a bigger font that might be helpful for viewers to read in geetam.com
 
What is your mother tongue - if not Tamil then how you two were able to sing as if like a Tamilian with the yza pronunciation clearly. I saw you both sung in Sun TV prog in You tube. rdhinakar@gmail.com
 
Hi Shilpa and Deepika, for the past few days i was watching ur porgrammes in gemini, u both having really a gifted voice..especially i like shilpa voice..she can sing any kind of songs melody, fast beats, pop , club songs..but for deepika, club songs not suited for ur voice..i hope u'll surely reach many heights in ur carrier.all the best for ur future..

hello shilpa,deepaka.. it is really grt job u r doing...my heartiest congratulations to both of u.. previously i heard to at tvs sarigama and saptaswarangal...u sung very well... u both have got very sweet voice... i heard to the thirupavai.. really fantastic it is.. being andhra girl... shilpa -- ur pronounciation of tamil pasurams r very much clean and clear...really wonderful... 1 suggestion-- if u don't mind.. towards the ending that is at the landing notes the voice was a bit shaky.. in the pasurams....i think bcoz of voice strain it was like that..so if u can avoid that shaking it will be still better..take it easy yaar plz don't feel if i said anything wrong... anyway all the best for ur career and expecting some more wonderful items from both of u..ur parents shld be proud of the grt talent u both have..it is grt that it is all bcoz of their blessings and support and above all ur grt hard work....

It was refreshing to listen to some original voices. You sounded great in songs like sadi seyako and Padariyen in Tamil.Your tamil diction is spotless and for sure you're bound to go places as far as light/playback singing is concerned. However I'm not competent enough to comment on your classical renditions because I don't understand the nuances of classical idioms. Nevertheless its hard work for you on that front and I wish you both all success as well.
 
I came to know abt Deepika through youtube and I like most of the songs sung by her (My personal favorite is the 'Nee Kaettal' in Tamil). I was certainly impressed by her Tamil pronunciation. However, I came to know of Shilpa as well through this site and watched her songs. I like her 'Ra Ra'. Though I am more inclined towards carnatic, you people can really be helpful in spreading this great art of classical music. Good luck to both of you.
 
I saw the songs sung by Deepika in Youtube.Especiall I love the song Venuvai Vachanu in Padalani Vundi Finals...I watch that song at least one time daily There are no words to describe ur voice in that.your voice is very very sweet.As a whole you are unbelievable.I can say you will become the idol singer for next generation. Could you please post the song "Rama Bhadra rara" that Deepika sung in Paadalani Undi programme. I want to listen to the full song. I really loved that song. Also, when you upload videos in youtube, i think it will be really great if you can also include the comments made by SPB or the judge. Hope you will take these things into consideration. I really liked your website. Both of your voices are excellent, I tried to download your songs but in vain. When I click the download icon, the song is played. When I did a right click and save target as-> it saved the song as .m3u of size only 1KB and when I tried to burn a CD, the burn software can't find these .m3u songs on the system. Excellent singers. Especially I appreciate Shilpa for her melodius tone and she sang well all the hindi songs. Deepika is equally good in singing Telugu songs. But they have to observe the "husky" voice since they are singing at strech without a small gap for music. Overall they are superb and affable singers and they will come up in the life. Hi, Sorry by mistake i submitted an empty response before, I think both of you are really amazing, but I think when you choose songs to be sing together, you must be more selective and accurate. If we listen to songs sung by individuals I think they are really good when compared to the songs sung combindly. Might be I am wrong, but I feel they should be some more accurate when they sing songs together. All the very best Thanks
 
Dont know much about carnatic having interest in it but i think i have the capability to judge the voice,clarity,modulations in it. I am the fan of sudha ragunathan,vaishali samant, etc So this is the feedback. To Shilpa: I heard ur vocals its excellent and voice clarity is gud. my wishes for your future career in music albums. To Deepika: U have a gud voice but some of the tamil words are not pronounced correctly.Need more practice in shruthi and modulation.

hi, i am vasanthi and i am a great fan of both the sisters. i have seen your performance in sye singers challenge. but its really very bad of your elimination from sye programme. but on the other hand i feel that it is the another stepping stone to your success. a small coment i want to do is there is a lot of maturity in shilpas voice but whereas coming to deepikas a slight childish sound resembles while her singing. i am not so great to coment you , but i feel that this commment may help you in your practice for your career. i want to learn music from your sisters through online music i hope for a fovaourable reply from both of you. feel me as your elder sister. god bless you all the best for your great future. bye bye.

The site is good. The songs without orchestra is really good to listen. One suggestion is you could mention Sri Tyagaraja Keerthana/Kurthi instead of traditional songs. The songs from concert is not clearly audiable if one wants to learn, to listen it is good.

I had opportunity to see your video album in internet "nagumomu'. I think the sahityam seems to be bit diverted while singing. May be not clear to me. I am very much impressed in both the sisters and they indeed are nightangles.I have a small feedback regarding the choice of songs. I feel both of you have a high talent and your voices suit really well with the old melodies. I dont think you are doing justice singing the fast beat numbers. The old numbers are really wonderful and I really like to hear you in slow classic melodies separately. When singing together, I feel I am missing something in the mixing. There is no 100% synch in the voices.. I can hear two separate voices and there is one voice which dominates and the other a little behind. Not sure it is because I am listening online..You must be great if seen on stage.Just wanted to make sure you select the right songs and make sure you both are in synch while singing together.. Otherwise,your voices are very sweet and it feels very refreshing after a tiring day at work. Best of Luck!
 
yesterday , 07/10/2006, i saw ur performance at kalaavaani auditorium and it was really mind blowing.it was really WOW! i'm not getting the right word to exclaim. actually i was down with ill health and after 10 days of rest, i came out to feel some fresh air, and happened to listen to u. what surprised me is,after singing so many songs continuously, u have ended ur concert with a breathless song. that was really great. Hey u've got great voices ,rally mesmerising one's. Visting geetam was a nice experience ,and listening to just ur voices rather than with background music was nice.Deepika sang "nidura po raa thamuda "beautifully".Shilpa's voice is so nice u just feel like keep on listening . Mandara makaranda(you rendered it as sweetly as exhibited by Kavi Potana in penning this)
Kanulaku Thochi ( u reminded me of Jikki and Bhanumati).
Pl. add more padyams and P.Leela's songs on ur site. One small correction..... In Shuklam Bharadaram... it is aneka daM taM and not dantam. Damtam means aneka varamulu/korikelu theerchuvadu. Many people commit this mistake. Incase u already knew this and it was only an audio issue, pl. ignore this.
