Singers
Popularly known as the Nightingale sisters of Hyderabad, Shilpa and Deepika have participated in several programmes aired by regional televisions and have given several concerts both at home and abroad. Many newspapers including Eenadu, Vaartha, Andhra Jyothi, Hindu, Andhra Bhoomi, Deccan Chronicle have covered their interviews. They gave concerts in the United States at the invitation of Bay Area Telugu Association and Telugu Association of North America (TANA). They also gave concerts in Kuwait at the invitation of Telugu Kala Samithi. They sing in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Marathi languages. They sing classical, light, devotional, film songs, ghazals and Telugu Padyams and have given more than 200 stage performances. Shilpa and Deepika are also the online tutors of Annamacharya Keerthanas on TeluguOne.com.
The singing sisters are residents of Hyderabad (India) and have won many awards. This site offers a few of the songs sung by this talented duo.
Shilpa is a Software Engineer working for Infosys in Hyderabad.
She has participated in TVS Saregama of ZEE TV as a child artist. She has won more than
150 prizes at Regional and State Level Singing Competitions.
Her rendition of Tirrupavai (Tamil) received appreciation and a first prize from none other
than Sri Jeeyar Swamiji.
Deepika is currently pursuing her Engineering degree in Computer Sciences and Information Technology at Bharath
Institute Of Engineering and Technology. Deepika is the winner of Kinetic Honda at the state level music competitions
of the film ‘Sree Seetha Ramula Kalyanam Chutamu Rarandi’. Deepika is also the series winner of Sun TV's Sapthaswarangal,
a Tamil music based programme. She has won more than 100 prizes at Regional and State level music competitions.
